Financial Education

What We Do

The Youth Connections Collaborative (YCC) of Georgia envisions a future where all young individuals from low-to moderate-income neighborhoods are empowered and uplifted through strategic partnerships between youth-focused organizations and financial institutions.

Our second pillar of the YCC is financial education. Financial education is aimed at providing youth (age 15 to 24) with the language and knowledge of the banking ecosystem.

We recognize that quality financial education provides the foundation our low-to moderate-income youth need to excel in the financial mainstream, which is incredibly nuanced. With the vast array of financial education curriculums available, the YCC deploys the FDIC's Money Smart curriculum. The Money Smart curriculum presents information in an intuitive manner to enhance financial skills and serve as a catalysts towards creating positive banking relationships.

The YCC offers financial education trainings for youth serving organizations with a target population of low-to moderate-income youth, age 15 to 24. Members are an invaluable asset to putting these workshops on as they synthesize the Money Smart curriculum into a presentation and lead the workshops. Event requests will be directed to the Financial Education Committee for review.
